It was the hottest couple of days in the year but I spent an enjoyable few hours in Cardiff Bay capturing a some images of subjects that I am not familiar with. It is always a boost to the creative juices taking on a new subject and seeing what can be done, looking for angles and compositions that please my eye and hopefully yours too. A few days away in Aberystwyth.The skies were grey until the day we left but it was great to have a short break and the dogs loved the beach, especially the expansive sands at Borth. It is also good to leave the big camera and lenses behind and just carry the lightweight Fuji and a single lens. Otherwise known as Jaisalmer. It took me a number of visits to India before I got to explore Jaisalmer, built of beautiful rich yellow sandstone, with its magnificent fort sitting in an elevated position and dominating the skyline. I was lucky enough to spend several days there a few years ago and explore the narrow streets and alleys.
